Hogsmeade days were possibly Ginny's favorite after Quidditch days. The brisk, fall weather was also her favorite time of year, making it the perfect day. With the ideal setting at hand, she actually tried to speed up the early morning process so she could get to the little village sooner. There were lists of things she wanted and needed to do before she could be satisfied with the day, the final one being to meet Dean at the Three Broomsticks for a warm butterbeer. A cute little smile instantly found its way to her face at the thought of him. The pair had not had one of their usual fights in days, and she hoped to continue that record for as long as she could. She hated fighting with him, but he made it so easy at times.
Practically skipping, she found a group of her friends and started to make her way to the small village, giggling and talking the entire way. Once they made it there, she separated from them, setting out to complete her list of things to do before she could just relax and have some fun. Now alone, Ginny was on a mission. With a small coin purse and wand safely tucked into her back pocket, she was on her way, quickly completing task after task. With all of the things on her list complete, Ginny eagerly wanted to get to the Three Broomsticks. Now with two shopping bags in her hands, and a smile on her face, she started back toward the crowded pub.
The streets were especially crowded, so Ginny decided to take the alleyways instead, insuring she would get there faster and not have to worry about crashing into anyone. Bravely, she walked quickly down the alley, as her mind began to wonder. Before she knew it, she had accidentally and painfully bumped shoulders with someone, pulling her from her thoughts. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" She said, and then turned around to see who she managed to run into this time.

Narcissa strolled down the alleyway carrying bags of shopping. She looked in a few shop windows, her mind full of ideas of what she was going to get the family for christmas. She was pretty much sorted. For Lucius, a new wand which she'd witnessed him try out at Ollivander's, for Draco, the latest Firebolt broom, for Bella...well, alcohol was always a good one, she thought, slightly amused, and Rabastan... she couldn't leave him out, it would be too mean... maybe a cheap bottle of wine would do for him. She scowled when she was bumped out of her thoughts, "Oh," she snapped, slightly moodily. "Really child you /should/ watch where you're goi- AAGH! Weasel?!" she let out a bloodcurdling shriek when she recognised the girl as she turned around.

Ginny was usually a graceful person, especially on a broomstick. However, her wild imagination lead to her downfall on most occasions. The Gryffindor was a dreamer, keeping her head in the clouds and her mind open at most times. At least, when she was happy anyway. The alleyway was so peaceful, and her mind was wrapped around the thought of her boyfriend who waited impatiently for her in the noisy Three Broomsticks. However, she had other things to worry about now, one of them being the person she had just collided with. Thankfully, neither of them had dropped any of their shopping bags on the cobblestone ground, but Ginny's shoulder throbbed. Both women were at fault, seeing as neither seemed to be paying all that much attention to where they were but rather where they were headed. Though it was not entirely her fault, Ginny did apologize first. That was, however, until she got a good look at who it was she had crashed into.
Her eyes widened and she took a small step back, recognizing the lady immediately. The platinum blonde hair made it more than obvious who she was, and Ginny knew that this was not going to be a pleasant encounter. There stood Narcissa Malfoy, married to Lucius and mother of Draco. The Weasley's never got on well with the family in question, and now that Ginny's father had been promoted in the Ministry shortly after Lucius was sacked, she could only assume that Narcissa would be bitter. It didn't take long before the woman recognized her as well, seeing as she shouted crude nickname the redhead was used too and literally shrieked. Ginny resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the woman, though it was harder that it seemed. "No, my name is Ginny, not Weasel. A Weasel is a small animal whereas I am very much human. Too bad I couldn't say the same for you." Immediately regretting her choice of words, she continued speaking anyway, "and besides, it was both our fault. Not just mine, and why on earth are you screaming?"

Narcissa's eyes widened."Why cant your parents teach you to respect your elders?"she spat. "And don't be so bloody cheeky, I knowwhat a weasel is." she looked down her nose at the girl, boxes balancing ontop of her arm. "Could you get the door please?" she asked. Please was normally a very difficult word to say to a Gryffindor. Lucius would have slammed her for it, there would be no question about that. She nodded her head at the red door of Ollivander's Wand shop.
