Narcissa strolled through the grounds of Malfoy Manor with the two old, grey Irish wolfhounds jogging along beside her.
Sometimes it was nice to have a few moments alone, and sometimes it was nice just to have the dogs with her. At least the dogs couldn't answer her back, she thought, slightly amused.
She strolled through the maze, wondering how she always managed to find her way out. Lucius always lost his temper and ended up making her stand on the bridge and guide her out. She smiled and looked up as is started to snow.
"Oh,"" she said, delighted. She loved the snow, Christmas was her favourite time of year. She decided that this year she wouldn't have any other relatives round on Christmas day...last year she ended up catering more than enjoying herself.
She paused as one of the dogs barked and looked across as she heard footsteps.
"What is it?" she muttered, turning around to face whoever it was.
