Camille left divination early, since she couldn't stand another minute of the lunatic that called herself a teacher- Professor Trelawney. She honestly perferred to have done muggle studies then stand another minute with that lady. Camille pushed open the large doors of the library. Considering, she had extra time, she might aswell start on her potions assignment. To be honest, she was beginning to not like potions so much anymore, after since Professor Snape got reassigned to teach DADA, they were left with Professor Slughorn -and since this man clearly thought it would be exciting to write up an essay on any of the potions they had learned in class, he was wrong.
Camille entered the library, where several eyes shifted her way. She threw glares in their direction -hating how she seemed to be in the spotlight for that moment. She walked over to one of the empty tables and slumped down on the chair. She pulled out some parchament and a quill, followed with a small ink bottle. Camille stared at her page for only a few minutes and already she was bored. She pulled out her potions notebook, using it as a reference to find which potion she'd write her essay on. Reviewing what Slughorn wanted it was the effects of the potion, the ingredients, how to properly use it, and how to properly create the potion. All of which was to be written with at least a minimum of 3000 words.
Camille glared at her book. She already had enough to deal with, and adding this essay to her list made her free time unusable. She sighed, as she fiddled with the quill in her hands, gazing out the window absentmindly.

Ron sighed as he walked into the library. He had somehow managed to make Hermione mad at him, once again, and now she refused to help him with his potions essay. Just great. Now he was going to have to do it all on his own. He took a bite of the red vine that was in his hand and chewed thoughtfully as he looked for a spot to sit down to work. Unfortunatly there were no empty tables at this point, but he did manage to spot a table with only one girl sitting down. It was somebody that he had never talked to, but he did notice that she had a copy of ‘Advanced Potion Making’ on her table and she seemed to be working out of it. Maybe, just maybe, he would be able to weasel some help out of her.
Walking over to the nearly empty table, he placed his bag down in front of an empty seat, and gave her a large grin as he flopped into the chair. He looked up, and realized that she was a Slytherin. By rule, he generally didn’t hang out with Slytherins, but there honestly was nowhere else to sit, so he placed his bag of redvines down on the table as he shoved the one in his hand into his mouth. He then proceeded to pull his book from his bag, and in as friendly a voice as he could muster he said “It seems that we are both working on our potions essay. Maybe we could help each other out?” A hopeful twang touched his voice as he asked, though he doubted that she would help him at all. He shook his head slightly and pulled a Quill and some parchment out of his bag and began to skim through the book looking for the correct potion that the assignment was on.
It really was a difficult potion to wrap his head around, and after this essay was done, Slughorn would probably expect them to brew it in class. He let out a small sigh as he attempted to read through the instructions for the potion, grabbing another red vine from the bag on the table, and chewing on the end of it. He shouldn’t have made fun of hermione’s pimple this morning…he thought to himself as he winced at the thought of the way she had blown up at him the last time he had tried to apologize.

Meleny walked into the library to get some homework done so she could relax later on. She was in her second to last year of Hogwarts and the work pile was as huge as ever. She had a 3000 word essay from Slughorn on a Potion. She actually liked Potions a lot better since Snape wasn't teaching it this year but it made Defense Against the Dark Arts unbearable. Not only that but she somehow was still taking that insane Divination class. She would've liked to drop it but someone had convinced her to stick with it in the hopes that maybe if she learned more about the inner eye, the beyond and all that maybe she could somehow come to terms with the abuse in her family. She didn't see how learning anything from Trelawney would help her solve her family problems. Did they think that somehow she would become a seer and be able to forsee any danger on her behalf? She didn't think so. Her mother was already dead. Things couldn't possibly get any worse. She kept having nightmares about her mother's death and the family house elf lying severely wounded in the basement.
She sighed as she suddenly noticed a Slytherin and one of her fellow Gryffindors. She recognized the red hair on him which told her he was one of the Weasleys. She had a few classes with him, Harry, and Hermione because they were both sixth years. She walked over to the table where Ron and the Slytherin girl was sitting. She didn't like the Slytherin population much but she had no choice. There weren't any empty tables left and the library could normally seat two to four students at a table. If the table was big enough it could usually fit more. Besides, she had to admit she felt sorry for Ron having to rely on a Slytherin for help on an essay. Usually Slytherin students liked to humiliate the Gryffindors. She had never seen or talked to this other girl but if she had to guess she would say that she was a sixth year like she and Ron. She was probably in some, if not all of her classes and she just never bothered to notice her. "Hello. um...mind if I sit with you? I was also hoping to get some work out of the way."she said nervously. She looked at Ron to remind herself that it wasn't just the Slytherin girl in the room anymore. Slytherins intimidated her and she felt less intimidated if there was another Gryffindor in the room or a student from one of the other two houses.

Hermione looked around the library and sighed, surprised when she realised that there wasn't a spare seat. She looked across and saw Ron sat next to a Gryffindor she didn't know. No, she wasn't going to help him, she thought firmly. He landed himself in it this time, picking on her earlier. He would just have to learn the hard way. She was going to get the book she needed and go back to the common room. She stood on one of the chairs at the end of the book shelf and tried to reach the old tattered edged faded book. Her fingertips stroked the top of the red bind, but the chair she was standing on decided to collapse under her. Squealing in horror and humiliation, Hermione gripped the book instead of the chair, and pulled it down with her, landing on the floor with a thud, followed by a pile of random books that had decided to fall off the shelf and scatter around her in a messy circle. "Oh," she muttered, sighing. Hoping that nobody would say anything - for she had been far too noisy for them not to notice, she atttempted to stand up.

He shouldn’t have made fun of hermione’s pimple this morning…he thought to himself as he winced at the thought of the way she had blown up at him the last time he had tried to apologize. Camille was brought out from her day dreaming as she heard a loud thud next to her. Her eyes moved away from the window, looking up to find a red-haired boy grinning at her. She watched as he made himself comfortable, taking a seat right next to her. It slightly irritated him that he hadn't even asked if the seat was taken. Though, what got her more irritated was the fact that this boy was from Gryffindor. To be even more specific he was a Weasley. A friend of the 'boy who lived'. Her eyes narrowed -almost in a glare- as he just sat down and began taking out his books and pens.
Camille knew that if she were caught with a Gryffindor boy then her reputation was done. Though.. not many Slytherins liked hanging out in the library. She couldn't bring herself to make him leave, and yet she couldn't find a way to let him stay. "Isn't it enough that I let you sit here?" She asked with a glare. "Since you just sat here without asking if this seat was taken or not, and of course I would simply say it was," She said flipping her golden blonde hair over her shoulder.
Still the word 'leave' hadn't escaped her lips, as she watched the boy read over something. She shook her head and returned to her work. Though, only a few minutes later footsteps where heard. A small nervous sounding voice was heard, and immediately Camille let out a loud exasperated sigh, as her eyes lifted from her work to find yet another little Gryffindor."Oh, why not? and while we're at it let's add some Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs!" She glared at the girl and was already standing up, collecting all of her belongings into her bag and walking briskly out the door of the library.

Ron grinned at the Slytherin girl as if she had just given him a friendly hello. “You ask why I didn’t ask if the seat was taken, then proceed to inform me that you would have lied about it. Can there be any question as to why I didn’t ask you?” He laughed as he spoke before continuing. “Besides look around there isn’t seats at any of the other tables in the library. That means that you can’t be expected to have a table all to yourself now can you?” He lifted his arm and gestured to the rest of the tables in the library, giving her another grin. “Besides we are working on the same assignment, it couldn’t hurt to get some help from each other now could it?” He said, in his most gentlemanly and diplomatic voice, giving her an over exaggerated wink in the process. This probably would have been more effective if it hadn’t been followed by him taking a large bite of the licorice stick he was holding.
He grinned at Meleny as she joined the table. “Sit down we were just about to work on Slughorn’s essay, right?” He asked giving a look at the Slytherin girl as she seemed to be gathering up her books. “Oh come on be a sport, It’s not like I bite or anything.” He gave her a another grin. “That’s what the red vines are for anyways.” He continued, taking another bite of the candy. “Think of it this way, theres nowhere else to sit in the library, and if there is three of us working on it, it will go much faster then if you were working on it alone. Then when we are done with our essays you can go ahead back to your Slytherin common room and skin some rabbits and steal candy from babies, you know the normal Slytherin activities.” He gave a laugh, making it obvious that he was just joking about that last part. He honestly hadn’t wanted to chase her out of the library, so he did his best to get her to stay.
He let out a wince as suddenly Hermione managed to collapse a bookshelf on herself. “I’d ask her for help…” He said, making a gesture in Hermione’s general direction. “But she’s still upset at me from this morning….I never did figure out why she was so mad, I was just trying to make conversation, then suddenly I’M the arse!” He said, gesturing wildly with his red vine hand, sending it flopping around in the air. “He shrugged and continued to flip through his potions book until he got to the part on antidotes. “Now can somebody PLEASE explain to me Galpolatte’s Third Law on Antidotes?! Nobody wants to tell me anything about it today. How am I supposed to write an essay on it?!” He said, raising his voice slightly and earning himself a shushing noise from the librarian.

Camille stopped, after taking a few steps away from the table. His words were quite amusing, as if he didn't know who he was talking to. She spun around on her heels to face him, seeing the playful grin on his face, made her surprise. "You really think all Slytherins do that?" She questioned, raising a brow, while folding her arms across her chest. She was slightly stunned that this boy didn't act afraid of her, he had heard from Pansy and the others that the Weasley boy here was afraid of them. Though, Camille wasn't a very threatning kind of person.
Camille's eyes drifted over to the librarian who had shushed the Gryffindor boy, after he had gave a huge speech about him screwing up with another Gryffindor girl. "What did you do Weasley?" She asked, already taking steps back towards the table. "Tease her with you're 'oh so hilarious humour'?" She asked sarcastically. She knew she was breaking a few rules right about now, talking to a Gryffindor, and actually being nice. She was going to have it once she got back to the Slytherin common room. Though, she didn't really care what Pansy and the other's thought of her now.

Hermione stood up and brushed herself down, before putting the books back on their shelf in the correct order. She looked up when she heard Ron mention Golpalott's Third Law and strolled over to the table sighing. why did she always give into him? "The Golpalott's Third Law states that the antidote for a poison created by mixing several poisons together must be made up of more than just a blended antidote , an antidote made up of the different antidotes for the different poisons mixed together in the blended poison." she quickly explained, opening a book and pointing to the page. "You should read that section, it's where Proffesor Slughorn probably got most of his information." she added.
